¶ Registration overview (procedure)
For new international students, follow these general steps.
- Know your curriculum (available in the GMIS system, see "Curriculum"), for example:
- How may credits you need to fulfill graduation
- What are the mandatory, major (related to your degree), and elective courses
- Etc.
- Consult with your supervisor about which elective courses you should enroll
- Use the GMIS system to select your courses/develop a plan (see Course selection). You will only do this once. After you develop a plan, you need to submit the plan to your school and wait for approval.
- After the approval, you need to "confirm class" at the beginning of each semester (including the first semester at XJTU).
- Once the classes are confirmed, they will appear in the "Class time table" menu in your GMIS system.

Once logged in..
You should have consulted with your supervisor before submitting the plan.
To add courses in the "Elective" section, you should turn off the automatic translation function in Google Chrome, then you will be able to add elective courses successfully.
It takes some time for the plan to be approved because this is done manually by the teacher at your school. Usually, this will take 1 working day.
¶ How to confirm class
After your training plan (course selection) was approved, you need to confirm class before you are officially enrolled. Only confirm the courses that you are going to study this semester.
You will also need to confirm classes at the beginning of each semester too.
